THE TRIUMPH ADLER TA 1000 IS AN ACCOUNTING / OFFICE / MULTI PURPOSE COMPUTER.
IT WAS USED AS COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR SMALL AND MID SIZE COMPANIES AND AS INTELLIGENT DATA ENTRY TERMINAL FOR DATEV (GERMAN ORGANIZATION FOR TAX AGENTS) AND OTHER PURPOSES.
OTTO MÜLLER, WHO HAS FORMERLY DESIGNED THE WANDERER LOGATRONIC (WHICH THEN BECAME THE NIXDORF 820) AND THE NIXDORF 900, ENGINEERED THIS COMPUTER, BEFORE HE STARTED HIS OWN COMPANY CTM (COMPUTER TECHNIK OTTO MÜLLER) IN 1972.
ALTHOUGH THE TA 1000 WAS A BIG SUCCESS FOR TRIUMPH ADLER, NOT SO MANY UNITS SURVIVED. (MANY UNIT WERE NOT SOLD BUT LEASED, AND LATER RETURNED AND SCRAPPED)
